“Can You Speak to My Club/School/Church/Etc.?”

I get this question all the time, lately.  The answer, of course, is “well, yes I can!” 

I LOVE TO SPEAK.  (I know, who would have guessed it, with a Baptist minister for a father?)  In fact, I would call myself an “accomplished speaker” (lots of speakers do that), but what does it really mean?  That a person is accomplished at talking?  That they talk so much they should receive an endurance medal for their accomplishment.  Well, either way, I certainly enjoy it, and would be thrilled to include your group in my schedule.

“So how much do you charge?” 

This is the second-most-asked-question.  The answer is, usually, nothing.  I never accept honoraria from schools, churches, or other nonprofits.  I enjoy discussing the substance and process of Trespassers so thoroughly, and consider the privilege of publishing it such a blessing, that these appearances are sort of a personal tithe to my readers and the organizations they serve.
